Hello!
Meet George Kelly, a native New Yorker who settled in Chapel Hill in 1994. In his GK Woodworking workshop, he transforms wood into functional and nonfunctional art using material like ash, oak, cherry, walnut, sweetgum, and teak. The artistry at GK Woodworking is a family affair. The most important team member is his wife, Barbara, who helps with marketing and sawdust maintenance. George's youngest daughter, Claire, designed the logo, while son-in-law, Ben, offers his photography skills. His daughter, Kim, and daughter-in-law, Onya, sell his salt spoons and other works at okseasalt.com. Follow along on Instagram to stay updated with George's latest woodworking adventures.
Thanks!
